The last of my Twenties

My birthday this year was a pretty wonderful celebration, that seemed to just keep going. On the day of my celebrated birth we started off the morning doing premarital counseling with my brother and his fiance, the deal was they had to bring me coffee...oh and it was delicious!

I also got breakfast in bed...
but it was so yummy I forgot to take a picture of the plate before I started...oops. Fried eggs and toast, one of my favorites.
I loved that when I walked out of my room I ran into Lincoln who was just making sure the sign he made was still doing it's job...
This was a warning to the girls to stay out so mommy could sleep. Oh how he knows me...I love the little people they are, and that they have their own thoughts and ideas on how things should be done, often times better than my own. So we met with Markie and Kirsten and then we dropped the kids off with my mom for the day, and Jer and I went galavanting around town, I'll be honest we could have driven the whole day long and I would have been a happy girl, I love getting to just be with my husband. Lunch at Outback, which apparently doesn't open til 4 so we changed plans and went to Claim Jumper instead, which I got distracted by how delicious our food was and forgot to take a picture until it was nearly gone...
Again it was tasty, grilled Talapia, BBQ Pork, roasted veggies and mashed potatoes, it was their land and sea special. I don't really know why I decided to take pictures of such uninteresting things on my birthday...I was in a good mood.
Then we were off to much needed massages, which I don't think I even have to describe how wonderful it was, my husbands ever familiar snores even added to the soothing atmosphere it was so relaxing.
At that point the scheduled fun was done, but we thought it might be fun to squeeze in a movie before home community. Sure enough not enough time, so what did we do? Redbox and Burgerville at home...with no kids...it  was so relaxing and lovely, and restful, and good for the soul.
Home community time came and some of the girls took care of treats and drinks so I got to relax and enjoy snuggling this guy...
Alissa's baby Gavin.
Yep it was a good day!
It's weird to think about this being the last year of my twenties, and what a decade it has been!

A year of bus stop time

Just a gathering of all the pictures we took at the bus stop. From: the first day of school to the last (and a bunch in between), waiting for pick up or drop off, put together momma to no makeup and jammies, sun to snow (in the same week), it's safe to say we live in the great Northwest, and...I have quite the crew.

I sure am glad it's summer.

A few notable changes, how much bigger they all are! I can't even handle it! Lincoln seriously needs to just stop, Jer and I don't have a clue where he got those scraggly legs from. The weather in Oregon is just so unpredictable, spring is hanging on as long as possible, Payden and Lincoln's last day was Wednesday and Hailey's was Thursday...out of control. Our neighbors painted their house and did lots of work to the out and inside. We're super excited that school's out, although Payden has been in tears many nights because she misses Mrs Johnson. Oh and Payden and Lincoln both Aced their Kindergarten report cards, and I have video's to come of every one's end of year programs. For now, the firsts and lasts.

The Father of My Children

I know, I know, I haven't blogged in a while...story of my life. For now, a snapshot of my favorite people in the world.
We had a fantastic weekend but this is just to say how thankful I am that God gifted me with such a loving, thoughtful, intentional, gospel minded, mildly ocd, handsome husband and father to our children. They don't even know what a gift they have in him and it is such a lavish one! So happy Father's Day to the guy who makes me want to have one-million of his babies!
